Decorating gingerbread house.

Royal Icing for Gingerbread Houses

Strong royal icing that acts as glue for assembling gingerbread houses. Dries quickly and hardens.

Ingredients

  • 400g icing sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • A few drops of lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Mix egg white and icing sugar in a bowl.
  2. Stir with a spoon until a smooth and thick consistency is achieved.
  3. Add a few drops of lemon juice to make the icing bright white.
  4. Place the icing in a piping bag and decorate the gingerbread figures as desired.
  5. If you don't have a piping bag, you can easily make one by cutting a small hole in the corner of a small bag.
